My Story About Living Hypothyroid with Adrenal Fatigue

This is not an ad, this is really me.

For over 25 years I lived with a commonly undiagnosed condition called Hypothyroidism.

This is my story about how I found treatment, lost over 30lbs (not through a fad diet or some other gimmick), got my energy back so I could exercise, finally was able to sleep well at night, and dozens of other unexplained health issues...Read more

Join My Experiment for Dry Hair

Hi friends,

I'm really excited about this... I am running a group experiment on the Conditioning Only method of cleaning hair. I read that conditioning only is great for dry hair (which is common for us hypothyroid folks!). I know conditioning only sounds really aweful, and it seems like your hair would be limp and lifeless. But I tried it yesterday and I have to say my hair felt amazing!!

So I invite you to join an experiment with me on "Edison The Experiementer's Journal" and try this method for a month (or at least once or twice). In addition to have beautiful, healthy, shiny hair, conditioning only means saving tons of money on hair products. Apparently the best conditions are the cheap ones like Alberto VO5 Clarifying conditioner for .99 cents. So please join the experiment and let's learn something together!

WEN by Chaz Dean is a hair care line that works in just this manner. He calls them cleaning conditioners. They do not lather and work by just leaving them on your hair for about 5 minutes. I have used them, and I like them. He sells on QVC and his website. I prefer Moroccan Oil which is the only thing that brought my hair back to life post diagnosis. They also make Moroccan Oil Light for fine hair. I highly recommend it.

WEN hair care is good but now Sally Beauty Supply stores and online offer a generic version that works the same but cost half the price! Its an amazing product!

Hi Vannah, thanks for sharing.

Actually, through the experiment above, my hair is doing great and it's the cheapest, easiest hair care routine I've ever had. I wash my hair with a silicone free condition (yes, wash with conditioner, instead of shampoo!), then dry my hair without any need for any styling products. My hair has tons of volume. But it's still a little dry, so after blow drying I rub a little coconut oil in my hands to melt it, then run through the ends of my hair for shine. You have to go light on the coconut oil while you get used to it, otherwise it will make your hair too oily.

And this method is super inexpensive!
