Thanks Matt. Yes its not so much about weight with Hypothyroid as is it edema/puffiness. Its a bit scary to share these photos but I hope it helps people really understand. I wish I had known this stuff 20 years ago. So tell the women in your life, they might be hypothyroid or know someone who is.

Hi Lizzy

Thank you for this site and all the info! Would like to ask how are you getting on with erfa thyroid? I may need to go onto thyroid med very soon & would like to start natural first. With re-formulation of armour n naturethroid, I'm trying to get feedback on other formulations. Also when u were trying Dhea; what dosage were you taking?
Thanks :)

Hi Bry,

Thanks for writing, and good questions! I decided to stay on the compound (the one I order from Colliers) because it's working great. And I am afraid to mess with perfection. If you try the compound I'd really like to know how it works for you.

For DHEA, I would suggest being super careful about trying this. After the major hair loss from the DHEA (in just 3 weeks!) and it interfering with my thyroid and adrenal meds I would suggest be super cautious. DHEA was a disaster for me, and after reading more I heard that others had expereinced hair loss. So there are some potentiall big risks.

xxoo

Lizzy, I wish I could try the compound but I live in the uk. After many years of nasty symptoms and illnesses, I'm awaiting my hospital synacthen results; possible addisons/adrenal insufficiency. I know for sure my thyroid is involved - I have a pressure feelin in neck.

Iv a feelin I'm goin to have difficulty finding a doctor willin to prescribe natural thyroid for me but I'm preparing myself with knowledge of which formulations to try.

The dhea. If I do try it I will start very low dose; iv noted other addison's sufferers see some benefit.

Thanks again for providing lots of info & wish u all the best with managing your thyroid & health.

:) x
