Rumors about Armour Reformulation
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 9:14AM
Lizzy Rumors have been circulating in the last few weeks that Armour had undergone another reformulation. (After the reformulation in early 2009 many of us had a bad reaction to the cellulose filler in the new Armour and switched to other brands.)
Yesterday I called Forrest Labs, the maker of Armour, to confirm the rumors. They said definitely, no, Armour has not been recently reformulated, nor are there any plans to reformulate! From the horses mouth, now we know.
On the Yahoo Thyroid Group I got some great leads on getting Erfa Thyroid in Canada which closely resembles the old Armour. I plan to give it a try and will report my findings, naturally! Old Armour, we loved you, why did you have to change on us?

Hi Tracy,
I have heard lots of people have problems with the new Armour, me included! So if you aren't feeling good, that's right on with others are reporting.
I am about to try a prescription out of Canada called Erfa, which many people report good results (and some say it's like the old armour we love). I ordered from an online pharmacy. It was easy to have my doctor fax over the prescription. You may even be able to have your current pharmacy fax your armour prescription to these guys and have them convert it to Erfa. It's costing about $60 for a 3 month supply, so not much more than what I was paying. So that might be worth a try if you are unhappy on Armour.
